Contact support

Include the device model, operating-system version, steps that reproduce the problem, and a screenshot. Do not send passwords, verification codes, payment information, or private rewrite text.

Install and update Mellow for Mac

Open Mellow.dmg, drag Mellow into Applications, and launch it from there. Use Settings → About to check for updates. Installing a new version keeps local scenes, knowledge-base entries, and history.

Mac voice permissions

Microphone and Speech Recognition are required for voice rewriting. Enable Mellow under System Settings → Privacy & Security. Mellow does not save audio.

Mac insertion and shortcuts

Accessibility enables automatic insertion and single-key talk shortcuts. Without it, Mellow keeps the result on the clipboard so you can press Command-V. Control-Option-Space remains available as a fallback entry point.

Hold to speak or tap to toggle

On Mac and in the iPhone/iPad main app, choose either hold-to-speak or tap once to start and again to stop. Tap mode ends automatically after 15 seconds if you forget.

Microphone and Speech Recognition

Open Settings → Privacy & Security and confirm that Mellow can use Microphone and Speech Recognition. Simulator audio can differ from a real device, so use an iPhone or iPad for final voice testing.

Rewrite, Quick Note, and Arrange

You explicitly choose the mode at the top of Home. Rewrite improves expression, Quick Note faithfully turns spontaneous speech into a readable note, and Arrange extracts a time, place, and task into a draft card. Mellow does not automatically guess and switch modes.

Why Arrange uses the current time

Relative dates such as “tomorrow” require the device time and time zone. Mellow first shows a draft card. It requests Calendar, Reminders, or Alarm permission only after you tap the corresponding action. It does not read existing calendar events or automatically invite anyone.

Send from another app

Select text or a link in an app that supports the system share sheet, then choose Mellow. The Share extension processes only the content you explicitly submit in that action. Continue rewriting or organizing it after returning to Mellow.

Save a Quick Note

Send a note to Apple Notes through the system share sheet, or sign in and connect Notion. Use the share sheet or copy and paste for Feishu and other apps. Mellow sends only the current note after you act.

Read the Privacy Policy

Knowledge Base and sync

Add professional terms, names, and common misrecognitions to the Knowledge Base. Sign in to the same account on Mac, iPhone, and iPad to merge them automatically. Local entries remain available if syncing fails.

Delete an account

After signing in, open Account and choose Delete account. Cloud account data is permanently deleted. Local scenes and history remain on each device until you remove them there.
